Why is Twitter so good at this? It mainly has to do with the conversation aspect of the medium. The PR world calls these conversations “2-way communications” and the marketing world calls is “marketing communications.” Really what it comes down to is that people want a deeper relationship with those in which they conduct business.

Think about it… don’t you find it easier to visit a doctor that’s been recommended or that you’ve heard something very positive about? Well, Twitter is allowing businesses to do a great job of warming up business connections.

So Twitter sees its future and maybe a revue stream by launching a Twitter 101 specifically designed for business. Take a gander at it. By the way, Twitter directly refers to “listening to conversations” - heed this advice or the moderator will boot you. Wait, Twitter has no moderators. Oh that’s right… that’s back in the Internet Relay Chat (IRC) days of social media, circa 1990.

Do you Twitter?

This is a quick blog post. Do you Twitter? You should be. Visit www.Twitter.com and start now. It's a very cool social media tool.
